Students will utilize a strong blended curriculum to help focus on career exploration and meet the unique needs of the middle school student. ● Enhance foundational skills- working together, communicating effectively and problem solving ● Develop civic responsiveness and personal responsibility ● Grow in confidence and self-awareness
Students will take part in a pathway focused on commercial construction with a choice of College Preparation or Workplace Pathway. ● Develop work ethic, soft skills and civic responsibility through service learning ● Leave the charter fully equipped with the knowledge of jobs available in commercial construction industry and with the understanding of how to secure entry level positions in the workforce or continue to higher education programs ● Partnership with construction management program at UA Little Rock ● Face-to-face instruction at VHS and industry partner training centers: UALR, Associated Builders & Contractors of Arkansas, Nabholz Construction, NABCO Mechanical & Electrical and Kinco Constructors
